NeuroInclusion At Work

Your Competitive Edge

Your organisation’s competitive edge rests on innovation, efficiency, and customer centricity. But that competitive edge may well be lying in plain sight, untapped and unseen. This is your existing pool of neurodivergent talent, the estimated 20% of the global population.

Harnessing Your Existing Talent for Commercial Gain

Our mission is to enable neurodivergent individuals to thrive, by inspiring organisations to remove invisible barriers in the workplace.

Numerous studies evidence that teams with a mix of neurodivergent and neurotypical individuals, significantly raise productivity and other performance indicators, compared to teams made up of neurotypical individuals only.

For example, neurodivergent employees in some 40 job roles at JP Morgan Chase outperformed neurotypical peers on productivity by 90% to 140%. *

Commercial Value

The business case for harnessing the potential of neurodivergent talent is compelling. According to a 2023 research report by Accenture, in association with American Association of People with Disabilities and Disability:

  • Companies that actively seek to employ people with disabilities outperform businesses that do not.¹
  • Neurodivergent candidates are wired to think out of the box and gifted in skills that are essential for digital success.²
  • People with ADHD, for example, have exceptional focus and problem-solving abilities. Similarly, autistic individuals are meticulous and have higher analytical thinking.²
  • By encouraging neurodiversity, organisations can reap huge benefits in terms of innovation, creativity, and diversity of thought.²

Testimonials

“Nalini’s relentless energy and enthusiasm has made her a pioneer in the neuro-inclusion movement within Legal & General. Through a combination of innovation and sheer doggedness Nalini has been incredibly successful in engaging both our neurodiverse and neurotypical populations. The result is that we are an organisation that is increasingly confident and self-aware, and with inclusivity at the heart of many things that we do. This is testament to Nalini’s leadership in this field.”

Richard Lee, Chief Finance Officer, Legal & General Investment Management

In GAIN’s pursuit of radically improving the employment prospects of neurodivergent people in our sector of financial services, we needed to find role models who prove the case, and energetic supporters to both develop the tools needed and spread the word. Nalini simply excels on all of those fronts. Both in terms of engendering positive change at her own employer – not easy in any large institution- and across the industry it is part of. Her dynamism, communication skills and determination are outstanding. Any employer which wishes to take advantage of the too often untapped, or under-tapped, capabilities and attributes of neurodivergent people, would benefit hugely from working with Nalini – it would be good business sense, and great for all the people in the workplace.
